Our Maplewood Stars Dance Team is selected to promote school spirit and involvement athletic events. The Stars perform and participate in home football games, pep-rallies, the Sulphur High Home Coming parade, Christmas at the Oaks, home basketball games, and other special events. To become a Stars Dance Team member, students try-out and are scored in front of judges. Their scores are culminated based on technique, presentation, memory, and execution of skills. They must also attend summer dance camp which helps them prepare for the upcoming year. Practices are help throughout football and basketball seasons.
