Cheerleaders

The cheerleaders at Maplewood promote school spirit, cheer for the athletic teams, and get the crowd involved at the athletic events. To be a Maplewood Middle Cheerleader, one must try-out in front of judges and earn points based on jumps, cheers, dance, tumbling, spirit, facial expression and motion technique. The cheerleaders must prepare for the school year in the summertime by attending camp and practice. We practice during football, volleyball, and basketball season as well as attend all of those games to support our teams. We also spend time preparing for upcoming competitions.
